COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT

 

 

Sparkles Academy of Performing Arts (SAPA) takes the wellbeing of their children and staff very seriously and as such, we will be taking the following measures to ensure a clean and safe environment for all during all Holiday Workshops.

 

SPARKLES ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS (SAPA) COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT FOR HOLIDAY WORKSHOP

 

HOLLINS VILLAGE COMMUNITY CENTRE, HOLLINS LANE BL9 8AT

 

Sparkles Academy of Performing Arts (SAPA) will ensure the following to provide a safe environment for children and staff according to the Government’s COVID-19 policy:

 

  • All staff members will be regularly tested with a home testing kit and the results will be forwarded to the Principal
  • All staff and pupils will have their temperatures taken upon entering using a no contact digital thermometer. Anyone with a raised temperature will not be permitted to enter
  • Numbers will be limited to 24 per session with a maximum of 3 adults (basic ratio of 1:8) to allow for social distancing
  • The Centre will be disinfected thoroughly before, during and after every session (this will include entrance bell,  all door handles, surfaces, tables and chairs, soap dispensers, light switches, toilet area and equipment)
  • Hand sanitisers will be provided and situated at the entrance, main hall, small hall, kitchen, toilet area and exit
  • Entrance and exit will be separate
  • Children and staff will be encouraged to wash their hands regularly

 

 

Parents/Carers of attending children will ensure the following to provide a safe environment for children and staff according to the Government’s COVID-19 policy:

 

  • No parking in front of the main entrance door, the car park to the rear must be used
  • Entrance will be through the front gate and doors at the far end of the centre (queuing may be necessary - using the two metre rule - please be prepared for all weathers)
  • All children and adults will sanitise their hands upon entering and leaving the building
  • Children will be dropped at the entrance (should the accompanying adult need to enter the premises, they will be encouraged to do so as quickly as possible)
  • For collection, adults will wait outside the main entrance (adhering to the two metre rule) and their child will be bought out to them
  • Parents/Carers will not send their child in if they are showing any signs of the Coronavirus (high temperature, shortness of breath, new continuous cough) and will inform the Principal immediately
  • Parents/Carers will provide their child with a pack of tissues

 

We will work together to ensure all safety guidelines are adhered to, to provide the very best care for your child.
