Covid 19 Risk Assessment

Here is how we are ensuring a safe environment in all our classes.

SPARKLES ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS (SAPA) COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT

Sparkles Academy of Performing Arts (SAPA) will ensure the following to provide a safe environment for children and staff according to the Government’s COVID-19 policy:

• All staff members will be regularly tested for the virus using home testing kits. Evidence of all tests will be submitted to the Principal
• All staff and pupils will have their temperature taken upon arrival, using a no contact digital thermometer. Anyone with a raised temperature will not be admitted
• Entrance will be via Main Door - Exit will be via Fire Door
• The Centre will be disinfected thoroughly before, during and after every session (this will include all door handles, surfaces, tables and chairs, soap dispensers, light switches, toilet area and equipment
• Hand sanitisers will be provided and situated at the entrance, both halls, kitchen and toilet area.
• Children and staff will be encouraged to wash their hands regularly.
• We will ensure to limit contact as much as possible. Cuddles for upset children will only be given with your permission.
• Any reports of possible infection will be submitted for the track and trace system, whereby we will act under advisement.

Parents/Carers of attending children will ensure the following to provide a safe environment for children and staff according to the Government’s COVID-19 policy:

• Entrance will be through the main doors (queuing may be necessary please be prepared for all weathers)
• All children will sanitise their hands upon entering and leaving the building
• Children will be dropped at the entrance and escorted in one at a time
• For collection, adults will wait outside the Fire Door entrance and their child will be brought out to them
• Parents/Carers will not send their child in if they or any member of the family are showing any signs of the Coronavirus (high temperature, shortness of breath, new continuous cough, loss of taste and smell) and will inform the Principal immediately
• Parents/Carers will provide their child with a pack of tissues
• We ask that children do not bring in toys from home.

We will work together to ensure all safety guidelines are adhered to, to provide the very best care for your child.
