Sparkles Academy of Performing Arts consists of a team of fun loving, competent, committed and experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Apprentices and Committee members who are passionate about Performing Arts and assisting Children in their Aesthetic Development.
"Happy Theatre Teachers: Generally, a theatre instructor/director doesn't just fall in to the position, they chase it and catch it with a celebratory cheer and a sigh. For any teacher and or actor, it is a privilege to teach children's theatre. It is a safe assumption that your child is being coached and directed by teachers who are thrilled to be doing what they are doing. Theatre can be a cozy place for many children with teachers who care and show enthusiasm for each child's unique special talents." (Statement credit to Angela Capps - Theatre Teacher and Director)

Steffi has over 35 years experience of working with children and young people from 0-18 years.
Steffi began her career in Childcare as a Nanny before moving onto become a Nursery Nurse at the age of 19. At 22 she took on the position as Manager at a Pre-School in her home county of Kent. After 3 years, she decided to move to another, much larger Nursery, which she successfully managed for 2 years. She then moved on to another, larger still, Nursery, which she successfully managed for a further 2 years. During this time, Steffi worked with The Thomas Coram Foundation as a respite Foster Carer, specialising in working with SEN children. In 2001, Steffi made the decision to move to Southern Spain, where she found her "voice" as it were; and very soon became a member of CATS (Cartama Amateur Theatrical Society). During her time with CATS she became a regular on the Musical Theatre scene, both on and off stage. Steffi performed in Principal roles in several shows, Directed and Choreographed in several more and even wrote, produced and directed several scripts including; The Emperors New Clothes, The Elves and The Shoemaker and Cinderella. This was all until eventually, one co-director decided to leave and Steffi stepped in and took over their part. There was no going back for her at this point, especially as by now, she had already begun working the Southern Spain Circuit; singing professionally and then subsequently directed several more productions.
Steffi was later employed at her daughter's previous Performing Arts Academy as a Teacher, where she taught Stage School, Street Dance, Glee Choir, PopStars Academy, Children's Parties, Holiday Clubs and also choreographed several school productions and from that point, she knew that she could never stop! She has now taught Performing Arts for several years and arrived at a juncture in her life whereby she wanted to share these experiences with both children and adults alike.
In short, Steffi is passionate about teaching and passionate about Performing Arts!
She says "It's never too late to realise and follow your dreams ... Just look at me and what I have achieved"
With this in mind ... Sparkles Academy of Performing Arts was born ...
