Competition Dance - Audition only for children and young people aged 7+

Our Competition Dance Class is by Audition only. The class runs for 2 hours and incorporates Fitness / Endurance Training and Choreography Instruction in many genres of Dance - Street, Hip Hop, Performance Art, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap and Commercial.

Students will train with our Amazing Dance Teacher and Choreography Creative, Angel, for 2 hours per week on a Wednesday (extra hours will be added on the approach to competitions). Alongside their fitness and endurance training, they will learn choreographed dance routines for the following:

• Showcases - Each term culminates in a Showcase Performance in a Theatre, which allows Parents/Carers and Families to watch their children perform and see how they are progressing in their dance technique and performance skills.
• Competitions - We compete in various locations. It is a great way for our dancers who enjoy competitive dance to be challenged and develop their stage presence and confidence.
• Student Choreography - Students will be encouraged to assist with choreography in our Annual Show/Pantomime. Giving them the opportunity to use the skills they have aquired in class.

We expect the following from our Students and their Parents / Carers; please read carefully before applying.

• Students will be expected to wear Uniform to every class. Uniforms can only be purchased through the Academy
• Students are expected to attend regularly to enable continuity within the class. Excessive absences will result in the loss of your child's place
• Students are expected to arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of class
• Students must be available for extra rehearsals on the approach to competitions. The Academy will endeavour to give as much prior notice as possible
• Students and Parents / Carers must be willing and able to travel to competitions

We continually provide a safe and friendly environment for Students who love and want to learn how to dance. Whether they are a natural dancer or not, we are commited to providing classes that embrace and encourage all students
